The TRP Pickleball Camp Experience
Jul 21, 2026
Not all pickleball camps are created the same. So let us walk you through two things: what makes a TRP Camp an “Experience,” and what your TRP camp experience options are.
What makes TRP Camps a complete Experience
- All of our camps are led by Tony. A few things you may not know about Tony:
- He is a full-time pickleball coach, having earned the highest certification available in pickleball: Master Teaching Professional.
- He is responsible for several of the most recognized pickleball concepts, like Respect the X, the FOSS Approach, and Bowl of Ice Cream.
- He has designed and continues to improve pickleball curricula that work, including the pre-2026 curriculum used at the leading Better Pickleball Camps and the hugely successful TPS course curriculum.
- He is the host of the weekly podcast, Pickleball Therapy, bringing to his coaching a breadth of knowledge about the mental aspects of our sport.
- He is dedicated to the sport and to you – his goal is to help you become stronger in the sport through improved knowledge and perspective.
At a TRP camp, you will not need to wonder who your head coach is – or whether they are a good coach. It will be Tony.
- Your experience begins before camp. From the moment you register, you will have access to pre-camp lessons and activities to get you “primed” for camp. You will also gain access to your camp community so you can start connecting with your coaches and fellow campers.
- At camp, you will learn lots (and we do not use the term lightly here) of pickleball. We will cover all Three Pillars of Pickleball: your shots, your strategies, and you (specifically, your mind). There is nothing left to chance. And this is on top of the personalized feedback from Tony and the coaching team.
TRP Camps are the only camps you can attend where the curriculum has been created – and is being constantly updated – by Tony. His name is on the camp for a reason.
- Your journey continues after camp. Included with your camp registration is 6 months of the NEW Pickleball System by Tony Roig. You will have a resource to go back to and refresh what you learned at camp – allowing you to go further.
Plus all of our camps are held indoors. El Niño heat waves and rain can’t keep us down.
Your TRP Camp options
There are two ready-made TRP camp formats available to you right now:
- Signature Camp is our longstanding and very effective 2-day camp experience.
The Signature Camp is the original camp experience designed by Tony and known as the Better Pickleball camp. Since its original form, consistent with TRP’s mission of continuing to strive forward, the curriculum has been updated and improved.
The Signature Camp is designed for any level player. Historically, players from beginner to 4.5 have benefited from attendance. More on this in a moment, but our camps coach pickleball. If you want to learn more about pickleball, you’ll do so at a Signature Camp.
- Super Camp is our second TRP camp experience.
Tony designed Super Camp to provide an additional training opportunity for players who either: have already attended a Signature Camp and are looking for the next experience or are interested in a camp experience but not looking for a Signature Camp.
If you are familiar with the Graduate Camp that Tony used to lead at Better Pickleball, that camp is not a Super Camp. Think of Super Camp as Grad Camp +.
Super Camp is either 2 or 4 days (12 or 18 hours, respectively).
In addition to these two camp options, you can train with Tony in more intensive small groups of 2-4 players. If interested in this training format, reach out to us [email protected].
How to pick the Camp that’s right for you
If your objective is to improve in your pickleball, then you cannot go wrong with either a Signature or Super Camp. They will each move your knowledge and skill set forward.
First and foremost in your selection process is making it to a camp – and from our perspective, there is no better pickleball camp than a TRP camp. There are few in-person opportunities to get on court with Tony – if you can make it to a camp, don’t deny yourself the experience.
So, finding a date and a location that work for you are the most important criteria in your selection process. Whether it’s a Signature or Super Camp is secondary.
NOTE: The cost of the camp should not be an impediment. If the camp cost is more than you can afford, please email us at [email protected] and let us know what is doable. We will do what we can to make it work.
If you are wide open on dates and locations and really want to know whether you should pick a Signature Camp or Super Camp, then use these guidelines:
- If you are not sure, then Signature Camp is a great choice.
- If you are sure that you prefer Super Camp over Signature Camp, then pick Super Camp.
Remember, though, that the driving factor is making camp. If the most convenient camp for you is a Signature Camp, sign up for that. If it’s a Super Camp, then sign up for that. Being coached on court by Tony and the TRP team is worth it.
You can find the list of camps open for registration by clicking here (or visiting www.TonRoigPickleball.com/camps). If you would like to discuss camp options further, click here to schedule a call with the TRP Team to go over your options and pick what’s best for you.
We’re excited to share the opportunity to join us at a TRP camp experience with you and hope we get the chance to meet in person.
