Why Come to a Pickle & Pint Camp with Coach Tony
Sep 16, 2026
Pickle & Pint is an awesome 12-court indoor pickleball facility located in Largo, Florida. Largo is about 20 minutes West of the Tampa Airport and 20 minutes from some of the nicest beaches in the USA. It is also nestled nearly halfway between Clearwater and St. Petersburg.
Here are my Top 10 Reasons you should join me for a TRP Camp at Pickle & Pint (in no particular order – except for No. 1, because that’s what matters most).
10- Amazing Beaches
You are 20 minutes due east of Indian Rocks Beach. In 25 minutes, you can be at Clearwater Beach, voted No. 1 Beach in the USA several years in a row. There’s nothing like an early-morning or late-afternoon walk along the beach.
9- Great Food
If you like good food, Tampa Bay will not disappoint. From fresh-caught seafood to amazing steaks. Interesting international options to local cuisine. The Deviled Crab, for instance, is all Tampa. The Cuban Sandwich originated here too.
8- Welcoming Facility
Pickle & Pint is locally owned, and it shows. At camp, you’ll meet the family members who put their love and effort into making P&P a welcoming and great place to play pickleball. It’s an awesome place for a camp.
7- No Sweater Weather
Tampa Bay in the Summer is hot. There’s no way around that. Thankfully we train in an indoor facility.
But Tampa Bay in late Fall, Winter, and Spring? It’s sweater optional. A great time of year to get out of the snow (if that’s you).
6 – Activities for All Tastes
You will be coming to Tampa Bay primarily for pickleball. But there’s a lot more to do here. Boating, sailing, fishing, manatee or dolphin watching, hiking, Busch Gardens theme park, a zoo, an aquarium, and more.
There are theaters and art museums, including the Salvador Dali Museum. We also boast one of the largest (4th in the US and 6th in the world) and luckiest (No. 1 in the US for 2 years running) casinos anywhere.
5- Vibrant History
Tampa has a surprisingly rich history. Our rich heritage can be seen in Ybor City – a true melting pot – and Tarpon Springs – with its Greek community. On top of this, Tampa Bay enjoys the reputation as the Cigar City, having been the cigar capital of the world before automation.
4- Great Vibe
Places have an intangible quality to them that cannot be fully conveyed by a photo or words on a page. It is something you feel when you are there. Tampa Bay has a quintessential small-town feeling in a big city. A place where you can step into a 5-star restaurant in a polo and shorts. You know it when you’re here.
3- The Best Coaching
The first seven reasons to come to Tampa Bay are enough to get you to the area. But you would also be coming to a camp here. And the camp at P&P would be with me, Coach Tony Roig.
I have been leading pickleball camps for the past 6 years now, and I can unequivocally (and without a doubt – in case the overkill helps make the point) say that our camps are the best in the game. Players who have been to a camp agree – you can read their stories here.
2- The Most Awesome Players
I have led more than 100 camps. And I can tell you that, by and large, the players at these camps are among the nicest and most supportive players on the planet. If improving in a supportive and encouraging environment sounds like you, then a TRP Camp is exactly what you are looking for.
1 - Your Pickleball
The No. 1 reason you should join us for a pickleball camp at Pickle & Pint is you. Specifically, your pickleball. If you’ve read this far, then pickleball is more than a passing fad for you; pickleball is important. And that’s great.
Pickleball is one of the best activities you can have in your life. And the better you get at playing pickleball, the better you will feel about the sport you love.
A TRP Camp will teach you things about pickleball that you likely do not know and, once you know them, improve your understanding of and engagement with the game.
Think of it as enjoying a more fulfilling relationship with pickleball. Give us the chance, and we will deliver that to you.

I hope to have the chance to welcome you to my neck of the woods.
